The only hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu is an oasis in the desert of Rajathan. Located at a height of 1219 m, Mount Abu is the highest peak of the Aravalli range and is located near its southern tip. It once served as the royal retreat for the royals and later the British. The hill station has rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests. In the past, Mount Abu was inhabited by saints and is considered a holy place. It is believed that the great saint Vashishtha performed a yagna(sacrificial worship on a fire pit) in Mount Abu to save the earth from the wrath of Asuras(demons). It is believed that the hill station is an abode of 330 million gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon. The pleasant climate of the hill station makes pleasurable.

Dilwara Jain Temples
Renowned the world over for their architectural beauty, Dilwara Jain Temples are the pride of Rajasthan. The sheer architectural beauty of the temples is hard to describe in words. The temples are like poetry carved in white marble. There are five Jain temples in Rajasthan, each having its own unique charm and elegance. These temples are dedicated to the Jain saints (Tirthankars). The history of these temples dates back to the 11th and 13th century. The exquisitely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars and panels are simply breathtaking.

Gaumukh Temple
Located only 2 km from Mount Abu is the beautiful shrine Gaumukh Temple, which received its name from a natural spring that flows through a sculpted cow's head. It is believed that saint Vashishtha performed a yagna here in the ancient times.

Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary
Rich in flora and fauna, Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 288 sq km. The sanctuary enthralls visitors with its wide variety of wildlife such as?leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, sambar, chinkara, Langoor, Indian Civet, Hyena, Wild Boar, Sambhar, Pangolin, Porcupine, Jungle Cat, and Hedge hog and Grey jungle fowl. The sanctuary has around 820 species of plants.

Adhar Devi Temple
Many devotees from far and wide come to the temple to receive the blessings of the goddess. The temple is meticulously carved out of a huge rock.

Sunset Point
It is the perfect place in Mount Abu to enjoy breathtaking views of sunsets. The scenic beauty of this point attracts many a visitor.

Nakki Lake
Nakki lake is a great destination to visit in Mount Abu. Its azure waters and picturesque surroundings give a pleasant experience to the visitors. According to legends, the lake was dug by the god with his fingernails. A boat ride is the best way to enjoy the wonderful surroundings of the lake.

Toad Rock
The rocking Toad Rock is a wonderful creation of nature. This rock is in the form of a rock located on a hill near the Nakki Lake. The rock gives the impression of a frog ready to take a leap into the lake.
