The Treasure Trove of Rajasthan

Mehrangarh Fort
Perched on a hill, Mehrangarh Fort leaves visitors mesmerized with its enchanting physical features. The foundation of the fort was laid by the fifteenth Rajpur ruler Rao Jodha and later, his successor made new additions to it. Fortified with thick walls, it is one of the largest forts in India. The fort impresses the visitors with the arresting palace located in its boundary. At this fort you will get an opportunity to see the preserved cannons, once used by the erstwhile rulers.

Umaid Bhawan Palace
One of the largest private residences in the world, and one of the Asia's youngest palaces, Umaid Bhawan Palace dominates the landscape of Jodhpur. Sprawling over an area of 26 acre, Umaid Bhawan Palace?is one of the best heritage hotels in India. It was designed by the well known Edwardian architect Sir Henry Vaughan Lanchester. There are 347 luxuriously appointed rooms in the hotel, which offer a royal stay to guests.

Jaswant Thada
It is a beautiful white marble memorial built in 1899 in the honour of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Cenotaphs of the family members of the Maharaja are also present here. The beautiful gardens, exquisitely carved cenotaphs and attractive pillars are the striking features of Jaswant Thanda.

Osiyan Temple
The architectural beauty of the Osiyan Temple near Jodhpur clearly shows the height of creativity of the human mind. It is one of the most famous temples of the Jains in Rajasthan.

Marwar Festival
Celebrated in the month of September/October, Marwar Festival brings the city of Jodhpur alive with its colourful celebrations. Showcasing the glorious heritage of Rajasthan, the festival attracts visitors from far and wide. It is celebrated in memory of the local heroes of Rajasthan. Heroic deeds of the local heroes are depicted through the medium of dance and music.
